What you need
- Proposal or quote documents from each carrier
- Your current policy schedule or declarations pages
- Optional: your loss history
Steps
- Upload the proposals and the current coverage summary.
- Paste the prompt.
- Send the broker questions before renewal meetings.
- Confirm final terms against the binder and policy forms, not just the proposal summary.
The prompt
Compare the attached insurance proposals with our current coverage. For each coverage line (general liability, property, auto, umbrella, workers' compensation, cyber, D&O, EPL and any others present), build a table with columns: Current, then one column per proposal. Rows: carrier, financial rating if stated, limits, deductible or retention, premium, key exclusions, sublimits, and endorsements added or removed versus current. Then summarize: - Total premium change per proposal, including taxes and fees if shown - Coverage reductions or gaps versus current coverage - Questions to ask our broker If a detail is not in the documents, write "Not stated." Do not assume coverage terms.
Review before you use it
- Figures match the proposal pages.
- You asked the broker for actual policy forms, since exclusions often live in the forms rather than the summaries.
- Premiums are compared on the same basis, including taxes and fees.
- Your broker confirmed any coverage gaps.
